Tim Burton!
The Burbank International Film Festival proudly announced that the Burbank City Council declared Sunday, Sept. 24, 2023, “Tim Burton Day” in recognition of the inspirational filmmaker who was born and raised in the city.
Tim Burton attended BIFF's 2023 closing night awards gala at the Burbank Marriott Convention Center to accept the honor and take part in a life/career retrospective with Scott Feinberg of The Hollywood Reporter.
Burton’s relationship with BIFF began in 2022 when he agreed to lend his name to The Tim Burton Visionary Award. This special award annually recognizes a local Burbank filmmaker who shows unique imagination and creativity.
