The Burbank International Film Festival partners with The American Cancer Society
The Burbank International Film Festival (BIFF) announced a partnership with the American Cancer Society (ACS) to raise awareness of cancer issues and fight to eliminate cancer as a major public health problem.
A Media Press Conference announcing the partnership took place on Wednesday March 30th at the American Cancer Society Burbank office. In Attendance where Councilman Jess Talamantes and current Burbank Mayor Bob Frutos who offered opening remarks and presented the organizations with certificates of recognition for their community involvement and service.
The Burbank International Film Festival Director and President Jeff Rector, said, “As a proud member of the coalition of non-profit organizations, it is our honor to partner with the American Cancer Society to help raise awareness around the world and to unite in the fight against Cancer.”
“We are thrilled to have BIFF on board to support our fight,” said Andrew Emmett, Senior Market Manager for American Cancer Society. “By working together we’ll be able to help save lives and improve the health of the community”.
The American Cancer Society is the official charity partner of The Burbank International Film festival.
